Karachi: At least three people, including a woman and a police officer were killed in short spam of an hour in Sher Shah area of Karachi on Saturday.
According to reports, two armed men riding a bike opened fire in the area, killing a man identified as Liaquat and injuring a 13 year old boy.
Shortly after the incident four dacoits entered Sher Shah Kabari Market and started robbing people of their money and other valuables. The robbers opened fire when challenged by police, killing Assistant Sub- Inspector Nasrullah and a pedestrian woman. A dacoit was also injured in the exchange of fire with police. Police said that the ASI and the woman were seriously injured in the firing and succumbed to their injuries in a nearby hospital.
They said that the robbers managed to escape and the police launched a search operation in the area to nab the dacoits.
