Islamabad: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani on Saturday has contacted with the top political leadership of the country in order to take them into confidence over fresh NATO attack.
Well-placed sources said that Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani has contacted PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif, President PML-Q, Ch. Shaujat, Chief PTI Imran Khan, President ANP Asfandyar Wali, MQM’s Parliamentary Leader, Dr. Farooq Sattar, Opposition Leader in NA Ch. Nisar Ali Khan, Chief PPP-Sherpao Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao and others in order to discuss the situation and to adopt a joint strategy regarding fresh attack of NATO helicopters on Pakistani check post killing at least 28 soldiers.
In his telephonic talks with the political leadership the PM added that he has directed the foreign office to record stern protest before US authorities. He said that the government has strongly condemned the NATO’s attack on Pakistani check posts.
Besides, the political leadership said that the government should take strict action and adopt stern strategy against the NATO forces incursion and violation against the sovereignty of Pakistan.
Earlier, Gilani has contacted President Asif Ali Zardari and Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani to discuss the Nato airstrike.
