Abu Dhabi: Sri Lanka recovered after a devastating start to reach 114 for 4 after 25 overs in the fifth day-night one-day international against Pakistan at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi here on Wednesday.
Half centuries by star batsmen Kumar Sangakkara (78) and Angelo Mathews (61) lifted Sri Lanka to 218 for nine.
At one stage it appeared Sri Lanka would fold up for a total of less than 100 as the top order gifted their wickets away with irresponsible batting.
Sohail Tanveer provided 4 wickets to the green shirts while Umar Gul, Saeed Ajmal, Shahid Afridi and Mohammad Hafeez took one wicket each.
