Karachi: The strong weather system over southwest Arabian Sea has intensified into a Tropical Cyclone (named – KEILA) and now lay centered at Latitude 16 degree north and Longitude 55 degree east. It is likely to hit coast of South Oman during next 24 hrs.
None of the coastal areas of Pakistan are under threat of this strong weather system. However, under the influence of this weather system widespread rain/thundershowers heavy at times expected along Makran coast during next 48 hours.
Scattered rain/thunderstorms may also occur in lower Sindh including Karachi and the flood affected areas during the period.
The fishermen of Balochistan are advised not to venture into open sea for another 48 hrs because the sea conditions are likely to remain rough to very rough during the period. However, the fishermen of Sindh may continue their activities.
