New York: Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has said that peace in Palestine cannot restore in Palestine through United Nations resolutions.
Addressing the 66th session of UN General Assembly session on Friday the Israeli prime minister held Palestinian authorities responsible for the failure of peace talks in the region.
“I extend my hand to the Palestinian people,” he told the 193-nation assembly, shortly after Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas submitted an application for full UN membership despite Israeli and US objections.
“The truth is that Israel wants peace, the truth is that I want peace,” he said, adding that “we cannot achieve peace through UN resolutions.”
