Karachi: Justice Maqbool Baqir, Administrative Judge Anti Terrorism Courts (ATCs), on Wednesday remanded two accused involved in targeted killings and attack on police van in Chakra Goth area of Korangi in police custody for a week period.
On Wednesday the accused, Kamran Madhuri and Sohail Commando, were presented before the court. It is to be mentioned here that the supreme court on Tuesday had directed the police to present the accused in court and get their remand.
Police sought physical remand of the accused in two cases, attack on police commandos in Chakra Goth and killing of a head constable of Awami Colony Police Station, Akhtar. The court gave 7-day remand of the accused, with the instructions that the accused be provide complete medical treatment. It is to be mentioned here that the accused were arrested in injured condition when they attacked police van in Chakra Goth area wherein four police commandos were killed and over 30 injured. They accused are said to be workers of a Karachi-based political party.
