Islamabad: Pak Suzuki Motor Company has announced significant price reductions across its Swift variants, offering customers up to Rs۔ 710,000 off under what it terms a “limited time offer.” This decision reflects the company’s strategy to adapt to current market dynamics and stimulate sales.
Effective from May 1, 2024, the price of the Swift GL MT will see a reduction of Rs. 85,000, bringing it down to Rs. 4,336,000 from the earlier Rs4,421,000. The Swift GL CVT will now be priced at Rs. 4,560,000, down by Rs. 159,000 from Rs4,719,000. The most substantial decrease is for the Swift GLX CVT, which dropped by Rs. 710,000 to Rs. 4,719,000 from a previous Rs. 5,429,000.
The company stated that these revised retail prices include Federal Excise Duty (FED) and Sales Tax but exclude Advance Income Tax.
Explaining the rationale behind these price cuts, a company official highlighted the return to economic stability and stable currency conditions as key factors. They also credited supportive government policies and the lack of new taxes imposed on the automotive industry as crucial elements helping to bolster the sector.
This announcement follows a similar move by Lucky Motor Corporation, which recently reported a drastic price reduction for KIA’s Stonic EX+, lowering its price by Rs. 1,513,000 to Rs. 4,767,000, effective from April 29.
These price adjustments are part of broader efforts by car manufacturers in Pakistan to navigate through changing economic landscapes and maintain competitiveness in the market.
