Karachi: Head of PML (Q), Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, has recommended an immediate all parties conference to debate the deteriorating law and order situation of Karachi, until permanent solution to the crisis was resolved.
Addressing the inauguration of Utility Store Branch in National Press Club (NPC) Islamabad, the PML-Q president said that Pakistanis were genuinely concerned about the worsening situation of Karachi.
He said his party would support every bid to restore peace in the Karachi metropolis. He said his party supported the call of MQM chief for deployment of Army in the city.
He stressed on an immediate end to all the blood and gore being committed in the metropolis, which was the economic backbone and hub of the Country.
Recommending three steps for ushering in the political solution of Karachi crisis, he said that all steps being currently taken were adhoc and temporary; and said that he had observed Karachi crisis deeply, and discovered that every party known who is doing what and from where.
He blamed land, weapons and drug mafia for all the trouble, and expressed his concerns that issues might fall in hands of criminal elements.
Similarly, ANP Sindh President Shahi Syed said in Karachi that his party also endorsed Altaf Hussain’s demand. He said external forces were creating chaos and disorder in Karachi.
Shahi Syed said that extermination of miscreants was impossible without giving a free hand to the security forces.
He said that involvement of external elements in this regard could not be neglected. The government had arrested such dangerous terrorists involved in target killings who were trying to disintegrate the country by their network set up abroad.
He said that the ANP regarded nothing more valuable than life and property of people, adding that they were ready to give any sacrifice for the consolidation of peace and tranquility. The downtrodden needed to stand in the face of devilish forces, he said.
