KARACHI: The son of Allama Abbas Kumaily of Jafferia Alliance was shot dead here on Saturday evening, TV reports said.
Akbar Ali Kumaily was shot at three times by unknown people riding bikes when he was in Bhingoria Goth near Azizabad. He was shifted to Ziauddin Hospital.
A spokesperson of Jafferia Alliance has confirmed the incident. A man identified as Chaman also died in the attack.
Shops in Soldier Bazaar area were closed soon after the incident.
Sindh Governor Ishratul Ibad has taken notice of the killing and directed IG to begin investigations immediately.
The body will be shifted to Shah Khorasan, Jafferia Alliance spokesperson said.
Markazi Tanzeem-e-Aza announced three-day mourning.
