GUJRANWALA: Nandipur Power project, built with the help of China, has successfully experimented with the first turbine, which is capable of producing 100 megawatts electricity.
Chief Engineer Ahmed Ali has said that they will run three more experiments on turbine before the end of May.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will inaugurate Nandipur Power project on May 31, 2014.
Ali further told that this project will produce 425 megawatts electricity, if fueled by furnace oil. And it can generate upto 525 megawatts if powered by gas.
The PM had inaugurated several energy projects in past couple of month to tackle country’s energy crisis.
Until now, there has been no change in load-shedding but the way PM is approaching this crucial matter, experts see a better situation in future.
