Sydney: As Lenovo gearing up to unwrap its flagship ThinkPad 10, the device emerge online before the official debut.
While recent rumors have hinted in this direction, now there’s no longer any doubt about it. A 10-inch model will soon join the Lenovo ThinkPad 8, offering more oomph and some pretty impressive specs that quite rarely grace small Windows tablets.
Lenovo Australia had set up a full-fledged product page for everyone to see, but it quickly removed the ThinkPad 10 listing. Nonetheless, it was enough to get a good idea about the tablet, and even though the full-fledged product page is no longer available the tablet’s name and a brief description are still there.
Lenovo says its ThinkPad 10 is a “business tablet with full PC capabilities,” but clicking on the product now will just refresh the same page.
All in all, the tablet’s specs are now out there and it seems it has a lot in common with its 8-inch counterpart, but it also sports notable upgrades. The 10-inch slate will have a full HD display, an Intel Atom Bay Trail processor under the hood, a hefty 4GB of RAM, and up to 128 GB of internal storage capacity expandable via microSD.
Other specs include an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter, a multi-touch display with optional support for pressure-sensitive digital pens, and a 33Whr battery. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, NFC, and optional LTE.
Although the company’s Australian arm rushed to list the tablet online, Lenovo has yet to make an official announcement regarding its upcoming ThinkPad 10.
The upcoming Lenovo ThinkPad 10 is also expected to boast business-friendly features such as a Fingerprint reader, a Smart Card reader, as well as the latest Windows 8.1 software on board, according to a more extensive report from Liliputing.
Interested customers will also be able to choose between a basic dock, a keyboard dock, or a keyboard case, depending on their needs and preferences. Lenovo has yet to offer any launch or pricing details, but the official listing on the company’s Australian web store indicates that a debut is just around the corner.
