Islamabad: Former military ruler Pervez Musharraf likely to be presented today as the special court will resume hearing in high treason case here on Tuesday.
A three-member bench hearing the case comprising judges of high courts headed by Justice Faisal Arab.
The court in its previous hearing warned the counsel of Musharraf if he will not be produced in next hearing (today), so the court will order to issue non-bailable arrest warrants.
According to reports, the box security includes a 12-vehicle cavalcade, a bullet-proof car, pilot vehicles, an ambulance and a fire engine will be provided for Musharraf’s security.
The report further said that around about 1,200 policemen, anti-terrorist squad personnel and commandos would be on duty and over 400 personnel would be deployed at the court premises.
He was first ordered before the tribunal on December 24 but has yet to put in an appearance, with bomb scares and health problems keeping him away.
The former general has been in Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC), a military hospital since falling ill with heart trouble while travelling to court on January 2.
