BANNU: AT least 22 security personnels have been killed and 38 others injured in an attack on military convoy in Bannu, district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).
The convoy was attacked by a remote controlled bomb in the cantonment area in Bannu.
The blast is suspected to have occurred in a rented car, which was hired to transport the soldiers, it was not clear if it was suicide attack.
Security forces have cordoned off the area while rescue and relief operation continued.
Injured including frontier corps and army personals have been shifted to Combined Military Hospital. According to sources, 10 injured are in critical condition.
