Islamabad: As the nation always being threatened by the rulers that Pakistan’s economic situation was worsening and faces a return to double-digit inflation as the government would not hike prices of electricity, petroleum products, gas, but situation got completed changed when around 1.5 million spent on the portraits of President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain from national treasurer.
According to a report by private television, President House spent this huge amount from national treasurer to put portraits of newly-elected President in the lounge and other place.
The report said that a Lahore-based photographer, Qamar Pervez, had been hired for this purpose who also made the portraits of former president Asif Ali Zardari on worth 0.9 million.
According to the report, when the President spokesperson Saba Hasan had been contacted regarding the issue, so she said that he never knew about the portraits because it was matter of Press Information Department (PID).
The report further said that around 1.5 lacs more pay out for the pictures of the family of the President Mamnoon Hussain.
The most interest aspect of the report is that these huge amounts only be charged for the premiers or government officials otherwise Qamar Pervez only charged thousands for these portraits and pictures.
