ISLAMABAD: Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistan and Indian ties are very important for region’s stability, and we want to restore relation with India.
After Line of Control (LoC) violations between Indian and Pakistan, an important meeting was held at foreign office Islamabad with the Prime Minister in chair, on Thursday.
During the meeting, foreign secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani briefs Nawaz Sharif regarding Indian armed forces unprovoked firing on Pakistani army.
Foreign secretary also informed about protest outside the Pakistan high commission and Pakistan house in India. “Indian opposition is trying to sabotage Pakistan and Indian Prime Ministers meeting, which is due in September at New York”, Jalil Abbas Jilani added.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said he was waiting to meet Manmohan Singh, Prime minister of India, on side lines of United Nation’s General Assembly session.
“Attempts to attack on Pakistan high commission and Pakistan house in New Dehli are regrettable but Pakistan and Indian ties are crucial for region’s stability”, Nawaz Sharif said.
