ISLAMABAD: Following decision of his party, prominent figure of the capital city of Islamabad, Mian Aslam, has withdrawn his nomination papers from bye polls.
A member of Jamaat e Islami, ally of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, has been contesting from NA-48, which was vacated by PTI president Javed Hashmi.
“JI has decided not to participate in the bye elections of the country,” a spokesman of JI said.
“Mian Aslam has taken back his papers in line with decision of the party.”
The decision will boost PTI’s Asad Umer who is contesting on the seat.
