ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission Friday completed dispatching of ballot papers, a day before general elections in the country.
It said that 17 crore, 90 lac (179 million) ballot papers have been provided to the polling stations across the country.
Earlier, the ISPR had said that the ballot boxes were transported under strict security, adding thousands of personnel have been deployed across Pakistan.
Meanwhile, 69,729 presiding officers have been given the powers of a magistrate, while also receiving training for the same.
Section 144 imposed
Section 144 has been imposed in the federal capital, banning political processions, aerial firing and use of loud speakers on eve of the polls.
