Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday rejected the report submitted into the Quetta bombing and ordered the defence secretary to submit another report.
A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry resumed the hearing of the suo motu case over the Saturday’s bombing in the city in which 89 Shi’ites were killed.
During the hearing on today (Wednesday), Asif Yasin, the defence secretary, submitted before the bench the Inter-Services Intelligence’s (ISI) report.
The chief justice rejected the report of the ISI and said that the questions raised by court were answered.
The CJ remarked that the police should have knowledge about the activities in their areas, adding that other agencies would not help if the police are uninformed.
The hearing of the case is underway.
