Quetta: Burials of more than 80 people killed in Quetta blast on February 16 would take place at 9am today (Wednesday), Majlis-e-Wehdat-e-Muslameen (MWM) leader Allama Amin Shaheedi said.
Speaking to a press conference in Quetta, Shaheedi said that sit-ins across the country were ended and relatives of the dead were agreed to bury their loved ones.
He said that after the earlier call by Shia religious parties to end sit-ins, some youngsters went against the decision and the news were taken by the media as if all the protesters were against ending the sit-ins.
On the question of army taking control of the province, Shaheedi said, “We are democratic people and want the issue to be resolved democratically.”
