Mumbai: The rape incidents have become regular news in one of the biggest democracies of the world, India. In yet another act of barbarism, a three-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 35-year-old man at RajivNagar in Balangir district on Tuesday night.
According to Indian media reports, police said that the accused was identified as the girl’s neighbour. “The girl uttered the name of the accused, who was her father’s friend,” said town police station IIC Srimanta Barik.
He said the man beckoned the girl with a chocolate and took her to a secluded place. After raping her he left the girl on the road near her house.
“The girl’s parents saw her private parts bleeding and took her to the hospital. She was crying and couldn’t explain anything at first,” said Barik.
The girl has been admitted to Balangir headquarters hospital with injuries on her private parts. Police have arrested the accused after the child’s father lodged a complaint.
