Lahore: The CNG association of Punjab has announced to completely shut down its operation in the province after 10th Muharram because of heavy loss being faced in the business.
Speaking to the media, representative of the association, Captain (retd) Shuja Raja said that the gas stations of the province will stop providing the utility after Youm-e-Ashoor (10th Muharram-ul-Haram). He mentioned that they are bearing 8 to 9 rupees loss on every kilogram of the gas sold to consumers.
It is to be mentioned here uneasiness can be felt in the industry after the Supreme Court of Pakistan’s verdict to stay the current price of CNG until December 5 of this year. The price of CNG was slashed by Rs30 by SCP in its verdict given on October 25, 2012.
