Karachi: Sana Mir, the captain of Pakistan women cricket team, is the only Pakistani player in the top 20 ICC Women’s Twenty20 rankings launched in Colombo on Monday. Sana is at eighth position.
The launching ceremony held just two days before the start of women’s World Twenty20 in Galle on Wednesday.
There is no Pakistani player in top 20 batswomen list.
Sana Mir is at eighth spot with 607 points in bowlers’ list while there is no Pakistani in the top-five all-rounders’ list.
Pakistan have been placed in Group ‘A’ along with England, Australia and India and they open their campaign against England in Galle on Thursday.
England’s Sarah Taylor and Lisa Sthalekar of Australia are at the number one ranked batter and bowler.
