Karachi: Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah had a telephonic conversation on Saturday regarding the overall situation of Karachi and Sindh, with Malik claiming that there were no longer target killings in the province’s capital after the arrest of serial killers.
Malik directed Shah to ensure lives of the people of Lyari, where recently at least people 25 people, including policemen were killed and 69 others injured in the week-long operation launched by police and Frontier Corps (FC).
A considerable number of people managed to evacuate the area during the deadly operation.
