Manchester City are hoping to get their first league title in 44 years after securing a 2-0 win over Newcastle ate Sports Direct Arena.
First half was tense, but in the second the Ivorian was found in space by David Silva and scored smart goal in the 70th minute.
Then Toure doubled the lead from close range shifting pressure on the opponents.
City first adopted the defensive strategy but then turned aggressive after the first ten minutes. It took almost 30 minutes for Newcastle to make an impact of the game. Gael Clichy was dispossessed by Ben Arfa, who raced past Joleon Lescott before picking out Ba, but the Senegalese striker could only blaze his shot just over the crossbar from 25 yards.
City, despite being on the front foot, were beginning to show signs of anxiety themselves, though, as the first goal continued to elude them.
Man City earned a free-kick on 27 minutes but Carlos Tevez curled it around the wall and straight at Krul.
Toure did find the crucial strike as Newcastle were outnumbered on the counter attack and after Gael Clichy nutmegged Santon, Toure kept his composure to beat Krul from close range with two minutes to go.
