Washington: United States (US) State Department Spokesperson Victoria Nuland on Friday said that talks on the recommendations given by Pakistan’s Parliamentary Committee of National Security (PCNS) were on the move with Pakistani authorities.
Giving a briefing to media at state Department Nuland said that US wanted to eliminate Pakistani concerns and found out a suitable way to re-engage the relations among both countries.
The state Department spokesperson refused to reply a journalist’s question who asked whether the issue of drone attacks would be discussed in the talks between US and Pakistan.
Pakistani parliament on Thursday approved PCNS recommendations regarding re-engagement of relations with US along with specially focusing on the restoration of Nato supply routes.
Responding to Shahrukh Khan’s detention at US airport Nuland said US esteems Shahrukh’s work for film industry.
“We feel sorry on the incident happened with Shahrukh Khan,” she added.
Khan landed at the airport in White Plains, New York, on Thursday en route to deliver a lecture at Yale University when he was stopped. He recounted the experience in the lecture, which media reports said was delayed by several hours because of the incident.
