Islamabad: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has challenged the Islamabad High Court’s decision to grant bail to former Prime Minister Imran Khan in the 190 million pound case in the Supreme Court.
The NAB chairman has filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the Islamabad High Court’s decision to grant bail.
In the petition, NAB has requested the Supreme Court to accept the appeal against the Islamabad High Court’s decision of May 14 and to annul the decision granting bail to the PTI founder.
On May 15, the Islamabad High Court had approved bail for the PTI founder in the 190 million pound reference on surety bonds of 1 million rupees.
It is noteworthy that the accountability court had rejected the PTI founder’s bail plea, after which he had approached the Islamabad High Court.
