Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in the United Arab Emirates for a one-day official visit.
According to media reports, upon arriving in Abu Dhabi, the Prime Minister was warmly welcomed by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court.
Sources indicate that the reception was attended by Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, the UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Al-Zaabi, and other senior Pakistani and Emirati officials.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif, Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.
According to the spokesperson, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will meet with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, in Abu Dhabi. Both leaders will hold special discussions on trade and investment.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will also meet with Pakistani and Emirati businesspeople and investors from the Information Technology sector.
It is worth noting that this is the Prime Minister’s first visit to the UAE since assuming office.
