Pakistan’s Largest Meth Ice Smuggling Attempt Thwarted by ANF

Rawalpindi: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has thwarted the largest attempt to smuggle a shipment of meth ice.

According to details, the shipment was being smuggled to Belgium, marking it as the largest quantity intended for smuggling abroad involving meth ice.

A spokesperson for the ANF reported that the drugs were being smuggled under the guise of exporting Afghan soapstones, ingeniously hidden within the roofs and doors of five different containers. Three suspects, including two Afghan nationals, were arrested in connection with the smuggling.

The ANF spokesperson further stated that 224 kilograms of ice were initially smuggled from Afghanistan to Karachi via the Torkham route, intended for Belgium. During inspections, the ANF seized the drugs at Karachi Port and took custody of all containers used in the smuggling.
