Islamabad: The federal government has decided to issue “Pakistan Honor Cards” in a bid to recognize and incentivize top taxpayers and exporters. This initiative aims to grant privileges and facilities, particularly at airports, to individuals and entities contributing significantly to the country’s economy.
According to media reports on the instructions of the Prime Minister, the Federal Board of Revenue has completed its work to provide incentives to the top 65 exporters and taxpayers. Holders of Pakistan Honor Cards will enjoy a range of privileges, including expedited clearance at immigration counters, issuance of official passports, and access to VIP lounges at airports.
Additionally, they will have the honor of being invited to an annual dinner hosted by the prime minister, further recognizing their significant role in the nation’s economic landscape.
Under the scheme, dubbed “Pakistan Honour Cards,” a total of 65 top exporters and compliant taxpayers, including companies, Associations of Persons, and individual taxpayers, will be bestowed with prestigious cards. These awardees have been selected based on their exceptional contributions and accolades received from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Various categories of taxpayers will be entitled to specific facilities under the scheme. These categories encompass leading exporters across various sectors, including chemical products, food products, leather, machinery, pharmaceuticals, sports goods, steel and metal products, and more.
