Lahore: The decision to award the Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal to ASP Shehrbano, who saved the life of a woman during the Ichra incident, has been made.
The approval to award the Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal to ASP ShahrBano will be given by the Punjab Cabinet. The Chief Secretary and IG, along with other officers, will participate in the meeting.
It is noteworthy that on February 25, in Lahore, an angry mob accused a woman of blasphemy for wearing Arabic-lettered attire.
The timely action by ASP Shehrbano not only prevented the situation from worsening but also ensured the safety of the woman from the enraged mob.
