Islamabad: There has been an extraordinary increase in the trade volume between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
According to a private TV channel’s report, during the current fiscal year, the volume of trade between both countries has significantly increased. Saudi Arabia has recorded an annual increase of 47.30 percent in Pakistani exports, while there has been a 37 percent increase in imports from Saudi Arabia to Pakistan.
The figures from the State Bank show that during the first 8 months of the fiscal year 2024-25, the volume of Pakistani exports to Saudi Arabia reached $442.82 million, which is 47.30 percent higher compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year.
On the other hand, Pakistan received a total of $6.678 billion in external assistance during the first 8 months of the current fiscal year.
