Islamabad: In the FIFA World Cup Qualifier Round 2, Jordan defeated Pakistan 3-0. The match between Pakistan and Jordan started with lightning speed at Islamabad’s Jinnah Stadium.
In the second minute, Musa Al-Tamari of Jordan gave his team the lead. In the 9th minute of the match, Jordan was awarded a penalty kick for a foul by a Pakistani defender, which Ali Olwan converted, doubling Jordan’s lead to 2-0. In the second half, Pakistan’s defense improved relatively, and the strikers also attempted to equalize, but without success.
In the 86th minute of the match, Musa Al-Tamari of Jordan got another opportunity and scored his second goal, securing the third goal for his team.
It should be noted that in the FIFA World Cup Qualifier Round 2, Pakistan has already lost to Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, and Jordan.
In Group G of the Asian qualifiers, Jordan holds the third position with four points, while Pakistan remains at the bottom, having lost all three games so far.
On March 26, Pakistan will now travel to Jordan for an away fixture scheduled on March 26. The Pakistan team must secure victories in their upcoming three matches, including games against Saudi Arabia and Tajikistan, to keep their hopes alive for the FIFA World Cup.
