Lahore: The newly appointed Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, has issued orders to suspend 800,000 weapons licenses.
She issued these directives while presiding over a high-level meeting. While suspending the licenses, the Chief Minister of Punjab stated that only courts would issue new weapons licenses.
However, the spokesperson of the Punjab government clarified that weapons licenses are not being suspended in Punjab. The Chief Minister’s office spokesperson clarified that the Chief Minister of Punjab has not issued any orders to suspend arm licenses.
Furthermore, Maryam Nawaz Sharif also announced a project for the maintenance of streets across the province.
During a meeting with members of the Punjab Assembly from Sheikhupura and Nankana, the Chief Minister requested proposals for the provision of clean water and sewage in villages.
She instructed the members of the Punjab Assembly to demand in writing for this project and also requested immediate project planning for the maintenance of small roads and streets in cities and villages.
Addressing the occasion, the Chief Minister said that we want to develop a model constituency for each constituency in terms of development projects.
