Karachi: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has assured the nomination of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) candidate for the Sindh governorship.
According to sources, the PML-N informed MQM-P (MQM-P) leadership that they will support any candidate nominated by MQM-P for the position of Sindh governor.
According to the inside story of the meeting, MQM-P will once again nominate Kamran Tessori as their candidate for the Sindh governorship.
This assurance comes after MQM-P had previously “demanded” the Sindh governorship from PML-N in exchange for their support at the federal level. Additionally, MQM-P urged PML-N to involve them in federally-run development projects in Karachi, reflecting their desire for a more prominent role in governance.
However, MQM-P Convener Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui later denied making a direct demand for the Sindh governorship during the party’s meeting with PML-N leadership. Despite this, MQM-P reiterated its commitment to supporting PML-N and cooperating to strengthen democracy in Pakistan.
