Lahore: The unveiling ceremony of the trophy for the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) took place at the Polo Ground in Lahore.
The ceremony for the unveiling of the trophy for the ninth edition of the PSL was held at the Race Course Ground in Lahore, which was attended by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, franchise owners, representatives from the HBL, and star cricketers.
During the event, the captains of Multan Sultans, Mohammad Rizwan; Quetta Gladiators, Sarfaraz Ahmed; Karachi Kings, Shaan Masood; and Peshawar Zalmi, Babar Azam, were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said, “It is a pleasure to announce that HBL PSL is entering its ninth season, and I am proud to say that HBL PSL continues to be a success story for Pakistan cricket.
“Today, as we unveil this Orion trophy, we look forward to a month-long celebration of the beautiful game of cricket and the excitement and drama that accompanies it.”
Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam said Peshawar Zalmi is a balanced team, our bowling has been improved, we have high hopes from Saqib Mahmood, the combination looks good, all teams are looking good, Mohammad Haris will perform better this time.
Quetta Gladiator’s captain Sarfaraz Ahmed said, we have a balanced team, our fast bowling is strong, we will try to make a good combination.
Shadab Khan said we have brought champion players, this time there will be good performances, and everyone will watch the Shah Brothers, Ubaid Shah will be worth watching.
Shaheen Afridi said, if cricket is played in these conditions, it will be good, young players have come, and they will also play well this time, I am fresh and fit and fully prepared. Player Development Program (PDP) players will be worth watching, and the team is balanced, unfortunately, Rashid Khan is not coming, but other players are also good, so his absence will not be felt.
