Nowshera: Following the secret court’s verdict that sentenced the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi to 10 years in prison in the Cipher case, Pervez Khattak, the chief of Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians (PTIP) stated that Imran Khan is facing the consequences of his arrogance and pride.
Speaking at a rally in Nizampur, Nowshera, Pervez Khattak openly criticized the founder of PTI, Imran Khan attributing his legal troubles to pride and arrogance. Pervez Khattak mentioned that the responsibility for the verdict in the Cipher case lies with the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan. He asserted that the mission of Tehreek-e-Insaf’s founder was not to eradicate poverty but rather to make the poor even more destitute.
He further stated that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa gave a significant mandate to the founder of Tehreek-e-Insaf, but the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf insulted the mandate of the Pashtuns. The upcoming era belongs to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians, he added.
On Sunday, speaking at a public gathering in Nowshera, Khattak attributed the popularity of PTI to his unwavering dedication to the party. Pervez Khattak termed Imran Khan as “absent-minded” stating that he tried to share his political insights with Imran Khan but they were of no use.
He accused the PTI founder of making false promises about being firm on not taking national loans. He said that contrary to the promises, Imran Khan took loans.
Moreover, Khattak also criticized the previous governments, stating that their reliance on loans had ruined the country’s economy, asserting that the borrowing practices of past administrations had adversely affected the nation.
