Islamabad: The flight schedule at Islamabad Airport has been affected due to fog, leading to the cancellation of multiple flights. Two flights have been diverted to alternative airports.
According to airport authorities, the PIA flight PK-234 from Dubai to Islamabad has been diverted and landed in Karachi. PIA’s flight PK-144 from Al Ain to Islamabad has been diverted and landed in Peshawar. Meanwhile, PIA’s Islamabad to Doha flight PK-287 and the national airline’s Islamabad to Dubai flight PK-233 have been canceled.
Flights from Abu Dhabi, Muscat, and Sharjah to Islamabad have also been canceled. Private flights EK-540 and EK-541 from Islamabad to Quetta have been canceled, as well as PIA’s flights PK-601 and PK-602 from Islamabad to Gilgit. Additionally, flight EY-504 from Karachi to Islamabad and flights from Karachi to Lahore and Peshawar have also been canceled.
