Karachi: In a private zoo, located in Bahria Town, Karachi, called ‘DanZoo’, a pair of African lions has given birth to 6 cubs, and pictures of the white African lion cubs have gone viral on social media.
According to media reports, the lioness Arya has given birth to six White African lion cubs, all of whom are male. Born approximately two weeks ago, each cub weighed one kilogram at birth, and they have exhibited robust growth, now weighing three kilograms each.
The zoo administration says that all 6 cubs of the white African lion are male and in good health, and the mother, Arya, continues to exhibit excellent parenting skills, ensuring the well-being and vitality of her offspring. The management also mentioned that in South Asia, the birth of the most cubs at one time is a record for white lion cubs. The management mentioned that special measures have been taken for their care in light of the winter season.
The exciting news of the birth of the cubs was met with joy by the management, veterinary staff, and the wider community of animal enthusiasts connected to DanZoo. The zoo administration has welcomed the enthusiasts to come and see the lion cubs, and the proud parents of the six cubs, Aarya and Drago, a pair of white African lions.
It is noteworthy that the zoo, spanning 7,070 acres, provides a picturesque environment and serves as the home to diverse wildlife, including giraffes, African lions, Bengal tigers, other tigers, leopards, Asian black bears, various deer species, peacocks, ostriches, emus, ducks, swans, nightingales, parrots, macaws, doves, and sparrows housed in an attractive aviary.
The intelligently designed sections within DanZoo are named in relation to different animal breeds, providing animals with environments reminiscent of their natural habitats. For an immersive experience, the zoo offers the ‘Tour de DanZoo,’ an electric cart train providing guided tours to visitors.
