Beijing: The first shipment of 182 tonnes of high-quality dried chili from Pakistan has reached the city of Neijiang city of Sichuan Province, China.

According to media reports, addressing an event related to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Agricultural Cooperation Project in Beijing, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, stated that this significant shipment marks a new chapter in the trade relations between the two countries. Hashmi highlighted Pakistan’s reputation as a major exporter of flavorful and aromatic spices. The unique climatic conditions and fertile soil in Pakistan contribute to the cultivation of these renowned fiery red peppers known for their exceptional taste and quality.

On the other hand, Pakistan’s ambassador also visited the China Pakistan Economic and Cultural Exchange and Innovation Center in Chengdu, a city in China. The Innovation Center serves as a platform for economic, trade, and cultural exchanges between China and Pakistan. It was jointly established by the Consulate General of Pakistan in Chengdu and the Pakistan-Sichuan Chamber of Commerce.

This milestone is expected to not only strengthen economic cooperation but also promote cultural exchange by allowing Chinese consumers to savor the rich flavors of Pakistani cuisine.
