London: The British Foreign Office, while reviewing its travel advisory for Pakistan, has issued directives instructing its citizens not to travel to certain regions of Pakistan.
According to media reports, the British Foreign Office advisory recommends staying at least 10 miles away from the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. The advisory specifically cautions British citizens against traveling to areas including Bajaur, Bannu, Buner, Charsadda, Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber, Kohat, Kurram, Lakki Marwat, Lower Dir, Mohmand, Orakzai, Peshawar, Swat, and Tank.
Furthermore, British citizens are advised against traveling to the upper and lower regions of South Waziristan, and a recommendation is made to avoid travel from Mansehra to Chilas via the Karakoram Highway.
The advisory also includes instructions not to travel on route N15 for Besham, Dasu, and Sazin. Additionally, travel on N45 from Northern Mardan to Chitral City is discouraged.
On the other hand, British citizens are advised to stay at least 10 miles away from the Line of Control in Azad Kashmir. Travel to various locations, including Northern Sindh, and Nawabshah, is not recommended, except when necessary.
The British travel advisory emphasizes that insurance coverage may not be acceptable for those traveling to these regions.
