Lahore: Pakistani female shooter Kishmala Talat has qualified for the upcoming Paris Olympics to be held in France this year.
Kishmala Talat earned the honor of qualifying for the Paris Olympics by winning a silver medal in the Asian Rifle Shooting Championship. She secured the silver medal for Pakistan by scoring 575 points in the first round of the 10-meter air pistol event, taking place in the Asian Shooting Championship in Jakarta, Indonesia.

In the final of the Asian Games, Kishmala Talat displayed an excellent performance. She competed against India’s Esha Singh for the gold medal. Kishmala is the third Pakistani shooter to qualify for the Paris Olympics, following Gulfam Joseph and G.M Bashir. Prior to this, athletes Arshad Nadeem and equestrian Usman Khan have also secured their places in the Olympics.
Confirming the qualification, Razi Ahmed Khan, the Secretary of the Pakistan Shooting Federation, stated that Kishmala has secured a place for the Paris Olympics 2024 by obtaining the quota. Athlete Arshad Nadeem has also secured a place in athletics, and equestrian Usman Khan’s qualification position is stable and strong.
It is noteworthy that the Paris Olympics are scheduled to be held from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
