Rawalpindi: After the resumption of proceedings for release in the Cipher case, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan has been arrested in the GHQ attack case.
Justice Malik Aijaz, the judge of the Anti-Terrorism Court in Rawalpindi, conducted the hearing of the case in which the founder of PTI was summoned to the court, but the jail authorities excused him from appearing. Subsequently, his appearance was ensured through a video link, while the SHOs of all 12 cases appeared in the courtroom along with the records.
During the hearing, the SHO Royal Artillery (RA) Baazar requested the physical remand of PTI’s founder, which the court rejected. The Anti-Terrorism Court had directed the founder of PTI to undergo an investigation in May 9 cases in Adiala Jail.
It should be noted that the founder of PTI is currently in Adiala Jail in connection with the Tosha Khana and £190 million cases.
Yesterday, in the Official Secrets Act court, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf obtained bail in the Cipher case.
In the Cipher case, the Supreme Court had approved the bail application of the founder of PTI. In this case, Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi are currently in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail on judicial remand. The initial hearing of the case took place in Attock Jail, after which they were transferred to Adiala Jail on the orders of the Islamabad High Court.
