Lahore: The caretaker provincial government has issued a notification for the extension winter vacations in till 9th January.
According to a notification issued by the education department, the caretaker provincial government of Punjab has made an announcement regarding the winter holidays. Under the Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, a meeting was held, in which it was decided to extend the winter holidays till January 9.
“All schools (private and public) shall reopen on Wednesday 10th January 2024 resuming a full/normal week for all class. However, the restrictions regarding wearing of face mask within school premises shall remain intact,” the notification states.
As per the notification, both public and private colleges will remain closed until 9th January and will re-open on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, for all classes.
In the notification regarding the holidays, the citizens have been urged to take precautions due to the cold weather and its severity. Previously, the winter holidays were scheduled until January 1, and now they have been extended until January 9.
