Islamabad: The Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Barrister Gohar, has stated that they will definitely participate in the general elections and have no intention of boycotting. PTI will challenge the rejection of the nomination papers of 90% of its candidates and will approach the Supreme Court against this decision.
PTI Chairman, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, stated that 380 nomination papers from PTI candidates, mostly top leaders were rejected from across the country by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
Almost 90% of the nomination papers of PTI's important leaders including Imran Khan were rejected, 100% of the nomination papers of other parties were accepted.

Furthermore, he asserted that nearly 90% of the nomination papers from its key leaders, including Imran Khan, were declined, while 100% of the nomination papers from other parties were approved.
He admitted that some candidates’ papers were rejected on technical grounds, however, he said there was no clarity on the objection raised against Sanam Javaid’s papers.
Barrister Gohar stated that they will appeal in the tribunals against the rejection of nomination papers, and they will also approach the Supreme Court. It is the responsibility of the Supreme Court to ensure the impartiality of returning officers, he said.
