Air Pollution Can Be a Dangerous Cause of Life-Threatening Diseases

Washington: Medical experts have concluded from a recent study that air pollution can be a dangerous and life-threatening cause of diseases.

According to international news agencies, medical researchers have discovered in new research and studies that air pollution can contribute to an increase in the risks of heart and lung diseases, as well as breast cancer.

Researchers from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) in the United States and the National Cancer Institute (NCI) found that the incidents of breast cancer increased the most in women whose homes had higher levels of pollution particles nearby.

Pollution, including vehicle emissions, burning of fossil fuels, wood smoke, burning of vegetation, and industrial emissions, releases particles so small that they can penetrate deeply into the lungs through inhalation.
