Texas: A robot in the factory of the renowned American automotive, automaker, and energy company ‘Tesla’ attacked an engineer, resulting in the engineer sustaining severe injuries and collapsing on the ground.
According to the reports, this incident occurred at the Gigafactory located in Austin, Texas. Two eyewitness employees of the company revealed that the robot, engaged in lifting car parts, struck the engineer in the back and arms with its metal claws, causing the employee to bleed, and fall to the ground.
The robot launched the attack when the engineer was working on the software for two disabled robots. Two of the robots had their software shut down and disabled, while the third robot was left unintentionally active, leading to the incident. After the robot’s attack, the engineer was immediately rushed to the hospital, and his condition has since improved.
According to the reports, this incident occurred two years ago in 2021. The American Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) reports claim that only one employee at the Gigafactory in Texas was injured last year.
The reason behind the attack has not yet been determined. In response to this incident, Tesla, at least for the moment, has not made any comments.
