Gold Worth Over 1 Crore Rupees Stolen from Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s Shrine

Sehwan Sharif: Approximately over 1 crore rupees worth of gold has been stolen from the shrine of the renowned Sufi saint Lal Shahbaz Qalandar.

According to official sources, in the district of Jamshoro in Sindh, in the Sehwan area, thieves stole gold and other jewelry worth PKR 1,23,72,863 from the shrine of the Sufi saint Lal Shahbaz Qalandar. The stolen jewelry and gold were dedicated as offerings at the shrine.

Taking notice of the incident of theft at the shrine, the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs has ordered the suspension of the shrine’s manager, instructing the formation of an investigative committee. Additionally, a case has been registered against the manager, and an order has been issued to prosecute him for corruption.

The Deputy Minister has also issued directives to immediately halt the salary and pension of the shrine’s manager. According to the spokesperson of the Department of Religious Affairs, the shrine’s manager has confessed to his involvement in the theft and has also admitted to the crime.
