Lahore: A blast occurred in the garage of the residence of former Chief Justice of Pakistan, Saqib Nisar, resulting in injuries to 2 police officers. They have been promptly admitted to a nearby hospital for immediate medical assistance.
According to media reports, Saqib Nisar and his family remained secure in a safe room during the blast. The windows of the house shattered, and damage was inflicted on a vehicle.
The police revealed that, according to initial information, the perpetrator, riding a motorcycle, threw a grenade and managed to escape. Further investigations into the incident are underway. The area has been cordoned off from all sides, and intense searches are being conducted for anyone entering or leaving the vicinity.
