First Reported Death from Monkeypox in Pakistan

Islamabad: The first reported death from Monkeypox has occurred in Pakistan. A 40-year-old patient, suffering from Monkeypox and HIV, passed away while under treatment at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital in Islamabad.

According to details, the deceased patient, who was suffering from Monkeypox and HIV, had been undergoing treatment for the past one and a half months. The individual, affected by Monkeypox and HIV, had returned to Pakistan from Saudi Arabia.

It is worth noting that the World Health Organization provided Pakistan with experimental drugs for the treatment of Monkeypox.

According to health experts, individuals affected by HIV are at a significantly increased risk of developing other infections and diseases.
