Tel Aviv: Israel is using US-supplied white phosphorus bombs on Lebanese civilians, resulting in multiple horrific casualties from extreme burns.
As per American media reports, during the Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon on October 16, taces of American-made 155 mm white phosphorus cannon shells were found. In this attack, 7 people were killed, and 9 others were injured. The white phosphorus bomb attack caused damage to 4 houses due to the fire caused by the bomb.
U.S. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby while commenting on the Washington Post report on the use of white phosphorus by Israel, confirmed it while talking to reporters stating, “We’ve seen the reports, certainly, we’re concerned about that,”.
It is noteworthy that Israel had carried out an attack using US-made white phosphorus bombs on southern Lebanon in October, which the Israeli military has confirmed by stating that they have smoke bombs containing white phosphorus.
It should be noted that the use of incendiary weapons is prohibited by the United Nations, but Israel, violating all international laws, continues its relentless bombing on the densely populated areas of Gaza. So far International organizations have only paid lip services to the Israeli war crimes, issuing only statements not taking any practical action against these violations.
